Clover Kids
Clover Kids is a fun 4-H program specifically designed for children in kindergarten through third grade. The overall purpose of the Iowa 4-H Clover Kids program is to foster the development of life skills that are essential for the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical maturation of kindergarten through third graders by providing a unique, age-appropriate educational opportunity.

CLOVE KIDS LIVESTOCK WORKSHOP

Clover Kids Livestock Workshop With the help of the Polk County Fairboard we will be offering a Clover Kids Livestock Workshop. This event will take place on June 27, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Prairie Rose Arena.
Youth K-3 rd grade are invited to participate in this event where they will have an opportunity to learn more about the following animal species: horse, cattle, sheep, swine, goat, rabbit, and poultry.
Registration for this event is required and can be completed online.

BAKING COOKIES
The Clovers got to learn some baking skills by making some delicious cookie!
MITCHELLVILLE FIRE AND RESCUE
The kids where given the opportunity to see all kinds of things that might help them during an emergency.
PUMPKIN FUNDRAISER
The clover kids partnered with the 4 Leaf Leaders to learn how to grow pumpkins. Durning this fundraiser they planted, cultivated, picked, and sold over 1,200 pumpkins in Altoona, Bondurant, and Mitchellville.
NATURE HIKE AT THOMAS MITCHELL PARK
This fall the kids enjoyed a hike at nearby Thomas Mitchell Park which included a scavenger hunt and of course, snacks.
